Asociación Pro Niño Quemado de El Salvador (APROQUEMES)
Asociación Pro Niño Quemado de El Salvador (APROQUEMES) is a non-profit, non-government organization. APROQUEMS was established in November 13, 2002 in response to an urgent need for medical aid for children who have suffered critical burns.
APROQUEMS main goal is the prevention of burn injuries through education, and assisting in the recovery and rehabilitation of burn victims. APROQUEMES members are health professionals and parents interested in effecting change towards the future of children who have been traumatized by burns. Their vision is to ensure all children discharged from the unit become completely rehabilitated and fully re-integrated in society with minimal psychological and physical impact.
APROQUEMS values: service, honesty, and love for their burn children.
