APROQUEN will host the IV Regional Conference for the Central American and Caribbean Burn Association
Join us August 26th - 28th in Managua, Nicaragua

APROQUEN (Asociacion Pro Niños Quemados de Nicaragua), is preparing to be the site of the IV Regional Conference for the Central American and Caribbean Burn Association which will take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Managua, Nicaragua, from the 26th to 28th of August of this year. The Association ties together all organizations dedicated to burn patients in the region.
At this event, we will have the opportunity to interchange and share experiences that will strengthen the process of amplifying and improving the comprehensive treatment of burn patients in the region. We will be accompanied by medical professionals renowned for their burn expertise from the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Central America. APROQUEN will also be presenting its Charitable Comprehensive Treatment Program as a model for Latin America.
The regional conference is directed to doctors, nurses and other medical personnel involved in the management, medical and clinical treatment of burn patients. The lectures and presentations will include:
• Passion for Life (Motivational)
• Universality without Borders: an exchange of experiences among different countries in order to determine conformity amongst burn units with integral management.
• The importance of the Latin American Burn Federation. (FELAQ)
• Tissue Banks
• Nutrition and Infection in pediatric burn patients.
• The search for and preservation of nurse personnel.
• How to develop a Rehabilitation Program in Developing Countries.
• Burn Prevention.
• Charitable Comprehensive Treatment for Burned Children –APROQUEN
• Reconstructive Surgery, Hand and Armpit Care
• Aftermath of Reconstructive Surgery; Managing patients with acute feet and hand burns.
APROQUEN will take on the cost of the conference and meals during the event. Each participant will assume lodging and transportation costs.
